Udaipur, Jul 26: In a tragic incident, Sweta Singh, a final-year BDS student from Jammu and Kashmir, was found hanging in her hostel room at a private medical college in Udaipur on Thursday night, officials confirmed.
Her roommate reportedly discovered her body and alerted hostel authorities and the police. A suicide note, recovered from the scene, allegedly accused college faculty members of mental harassment and delays in conducting exams, sparking outrage among the student community.

Following the incident, students staged a protest march within the campus and blocked a nearby road, demanding strict action against the faculty members named in the note.
Speaking to the media, the college director said, "The matter is being investigated by the police, and we are fully cooperating. If any staff members are found guilty, they will be terminated."
SHO Ravindra Charan of Sukher Police Station said the body has been sent to the mortuary and the postmortem will be conducted after her family arrives.
The police investigation is underway, and college authorities have assured students of action against those responsible.
