Bengaluru, Jul 22: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the last date for NEET option entry for medical degree courses till 6:00 pm, July 22, announced KEA executive director H Prasanna on Saturday.
The option entry process, which began earlier this week, enables eligible candidates to register their preferences for undergraduate medical courses in the state. The extension was granted to ensure that all aspirants are able to complete their entries following the release of the seat matrix by the Department of Medical Education.
“After receiving the seat matrix, we verified and uploaded it on the official KEA portal. Candidates are advised to go through it carefully and enter their choices judiciously,” said Prasanna.
Regarding fee details, he clarified that the revised fee structure for the academic year 2025–26 is still awaited from the state government. “Currently, the website displays last year’s (2024–25) fee details for reference. It will be updated once the government notifies the revised figures,” he added.
As for alternative medicine courses, Prasanna noted that the seat matrix for Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, Yoga and Naturopathy is still pending from the government. “Once we receive that data, option entry for those courses will also be enabled,” he said.
Candidates are advised to visit the official KEA website regularly for updates and final confirmations.
