Mangaluru, Jul 19: With great enthusiasm and pride, Lourdes Central School hosted the 'LCS Summit 2025' on July 19 in the elegant setting of Bejai Church Hall. LCS Summit 2025 stands as a vibrant celebration of commitment, growth, and excellence. This proud annual tradition of Lourdes Central School honours the outstanding achievers of the All-India Secondary School Examination and the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination, recognizing their dedication and success. With the theme ‘Effort to Excellence,’ this summit celebrates not just scores, but the journey of hard work, discipline, and determination.
The dignitaries present on the occasion were the chief guest Prof Mitra S Rao, secretary, Executive member, Board of Governors, Srinivas University, Mangaluru and the president of the event Msgr Fr Maxim L Noronha, vice president of Catholic Board of Education, principal Fr Johnson L Sequeira, vice principal Anita Thomas, assistant parish priest of Bejai Church Fr Norman Mathias, PTEC joint secretary Gowri R Baliga, academic coordinator Deepa D’Souza, escorted to the venue by the majestic guard of honour, led by the head boy, Aryan Pai with the school flag, and the head girl, Kyra Hamsika Prasad, both exemplifying the values of loyalty and leadership; accompanied by the house captains of the four prestigious houses: Pranjal B Kunder with the blue flag, captain of Opal House; Jemima Karkad with the red flag, captain of Coral House; Jaden M Saldanha, with the green flag, captain of Jade House; and Tanusha Malli with the orange flag, captain of Amber House.











































The programme commenced with a soulful welcome dance performed by the talented students of class X, setting a serene and celebratory tone. This was followed by a reverent prayer service led by the school choir, invoking the divine presence of the Almighty to bless the occasion. The official logo of LCS Summit 2025, a symbol that reflects purpose, passion and legacy, a vibrant emblem of the limitless potential that every Lourdite holds, was unveiled and inaugurated by the dignitaries. Fr Johnson L Sequeira, the principal, warmly delivered the welcome address and extended a floral tribute to the esteemed dignitaries.
The torchbearers of Lourdes Central School - the toppers of the class X and class XII board examinations - were honoured by the dignitaries in a proud moment of recognition. As their names echoed through the hall, announced by Shaila Pereira, the shining stars of LCS basked in well-deserved applause. As Sharmila Colaco gracefully announced the names of the achievers of class XII, the dignitaries honoured them in a heartfelt celebration of excellence. Prajith Saravana, the class XII topper, shared his journey, experience, and appreciation.
Rekha Naveen warmly introduced the chief guest, Prof Mitra S Rao, who was then felicitated by the dignitaries in a gesture of honour and appreciation. Prof Mitra S Rao, addressing the gathering at the LCS Summit 2025, expressed her heartfelt joy and pride at being part of the momentous occasion. She reflected on the remarkable transformation of the LCS campus, noting that while its infrastructure had evolved, the enduring spirit of the institution remained unchanged. She encouraged the achievers to dream big, believe in their potential, and pursue their passions with conviction. Prof Rao also shared a meaningful message with parents, emphasizing the importance of appreciating their children and spending quality time with them - acts that, she said, hold the power to work wonders. She concluded by extending warm congratulations to all the toppers and achievers, thanking them for the joy and pride they had brought to everyone present, and wished each one continued success on their journey.
In honour of our class X achievers who secured 90% and above, Shaila Pereira and Linet D’Souza proudly stepped forward to announce their names. The dignitaries then felicitated these outstanding students, celebrating their remarkable accomplishments with admiration and applause. Adithya Nishanth, the class X board examination topper, shared insights of his experience and the inspiration behind his success.
President, Msgr Fr Maxim L Noronha, in his presidential address, expressed heartfelt joy at being present for the celebration honouring class X and class XII students, and commended them for their commendable achievements and perseverance. In his message, Fr Noronha reminded the students that their accomplishments carry significance beyond personal milestones - they serve as a contribution to the progress of society and the nation. He emphasized that true achievement is born not of luck, but through dedication and sustained effort. He extended his gratitude to all who made the event memorable - from the rousing performance of the school band to the graceful welcome dance, soul-stirring prayer song, and the eloquence of the MCs - acknowledging their collective effort in creating a celebratory and meaningful experience.
Sanjana, Shreelakshmi, Ahana, and Aishwarya of class X delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing appreciation to everyone who made the day memorable.
Bringing the programme to life with their voices, Athish, Eshlin, Shubh, Dyuti, Advaith, and Anagha took on the role of MCs, guiding the audience through each segment with flair.
The programme concluded with the soulful rendition of the Lourdes Central School Anthem — a melody that unites every Lourdite with a deep sense of pride and belonging.
