Uttar Pradesh, Jul 17: A heartbreaking case has unfolded in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, where 14-year-old Neha died by suicide nearly three weeks after allegedly being gang raped by three minors from her village. On June 28, Neha was taken on a bike ride with her younger brother by the accused, who then led them to a secluded location where the assault occurred.
Traumatized, Neha stayed silent at her aunt’s house for two days before confiding in her family. Her mother filed a police complaint, leading to the arrest of the main accused on July 2.

Despite the arrest, Neha remained emotionally withdrawn, rarely leaving her home. On July 15, her mother returned from work to find the house locked from the inside. Upon entering through a neighbor’s roof, she discovered Neha had died by suicide. No note was found, and the investigation continues.
This devastating case has triggered fresh calls for mental health support and stronger protection for children, highlighting the urgent need for community awareness and systemic change.
