Mumbai, Jul 17: In a remarkable testament to youth-driven corporate transformation, Adani Green Energy Ltd., under the stewardship of 30-year-old Sagar Adani, has been ranked among the top five largest companies led by individuals under 30, as per the Hurun India - Avendus Wealth Under 30 India 2025 report released recently.
The green energy major secured the fourth spot in terms of employee strength among enterprises helmed by young leaders, boasting a workforce of 4,107 employees. The list was led by Svatantra Microfin with 23,289 employees, followed by Ramkrishna Forgings (8,062) and Bector's Food Specialities (6,808). Zepto, the rapid delivery platform, completed the top five with 3,000 employees.
Sagar Adani, the younger member of the Adani family, has played a pivotal role in steering Adani Green Energy’s ambitious clean energy mission, placing it at the forefront of India’s renewable energy revolution. Under his dynamic leadership, the company has not only expanded its capacity but has also gained international recognition for operational efficiency and sustainability.
The Hurun report goes beyond workforce metrics and highlights a significant distinction — Adani Green Energy is one of the few listed companies among those run by under-30 leaders. This, according to experts, reflects not just scale but the operational maturity and investor confidence in the firm’s long-term vision.
The report further outlines a growing trend of young entrepreneurs and executives making a strong mark in diverse sectors such as finance, manufacturing, food, and green energy. These new-age leaders, according to Hurun, are driving not just innovation but also large-scale employment and sustainable development goals.
Sagar Adani’s inclusion in the elite list is being seen as a validation of India’s youthful corporate talent playing a decisive role in the country’s economic and environmental future.
