Mumbai, Jul 17: Rajkummar Rao-starrer ‘Maalik’, directed by Pulkit, continues its steady box office journey. Despite a drop in weekday collections, the film has managed to inch closer to the Rs 20 crore mark within six days of release.
On Wednesday, the film collected an estimated Rs 1.60 crore, taking its total domestic net to Rs 19.70 crore. Earlier, the film opened to Rs 3.75 crore on Friday and gained momentum over the weekend, with Saturday and Sunday each bringing in Rs 5.25 crore. However, Monday and Tuesday saw dips, with collections of Rs 1.75 crore and Rs 2.10 crore respectively.

‘Maalik’, set in Allahabad, explores the dark world of crime, greed and shifting loyalties. The film stars Rajkummar Rao in a gritty role, with Manushi Chhillar and Prosenjit Chatterjee in significant performances. The cast also includes Saurabh Sachdeva, Saurabh Shukla, Anshumaan Pushkar, Swanand Kirkire, Rajendra Gupta and Baljinder Kaur.
Though audience response has been mixed, Rajkummar Rao’s intense performance continues to earn praise. As the film heads into its second weekend, its performance will determine whether it can cross the next big milestone at the box office.
