Lourdes Central School kindergarten section celebrates Green Day

Media Release

Mangaluru, Jul 15: Green Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Lourdes Central School on July 11 with the theme “Our Green World.” The day aimed to instill love for nature and create awareness about protecting the environment among the little ones.

To make the day even more special, the classroom was beautifully decorated with green balloons, cutouts, creating a refreshing and joyful environment for the children. The little ones also brought green-coloured snacks and fruits in their tiffin boxes, which were neatly displayed, adding to the theme of the day.

A fun and engaging activity was conducted, where each child took turns to walk up to a tree chart and paste a real leaf on it. This hands-on experience helped them connect with nature and understand the importance of greenery.

To add rhythm and excitement to the celebration, the children sang a lively Green Day action song, filling the classroom with energy and cheer.

The little ones were full of excitement and joy as they celebrated the beauty of nature in a fun and meaningful way.

Kindergarten coordinator Lynette Pereira addressed the children and shared a few words with them.
