Roing, Jul 12: A teenager, reportedly a migrant from Assam, was brutally lynched by a mob outside a police station in Arunachal Pradesh after being accused of sexually assaulting several minor girls. The exact age of the teenager remains unclear, but he was known to work in Roing town, Lower Dibang Valley.

Sources indicate that he exploited lax security to gain access to a school hostel, where he allegedly assaulted girls aged between six and eight. The alarming situation came to light when parents took their daughters to the hospital due to abdominal pain, leading to a complaint being filed. The teenager was arrested on Thursday.

On Friday, as news of the assaults spread, a large crowd gathered at the Roing police station, where the accused was held. Witnesses reported that the mob overwhelmed the police personnel, dragging the teenager out and beating him severely. Tragically, by the time reinforcements arrived, the teenager had succumbed to his injuries.
