Mumbai, Jul 7: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is back in action, this time stepping into the boots of a soldier in the upcoming war drama Battle of Galwan, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The makers have now revealed the first-look poster, offering audiences a gripping preview of the high-altitude conflict-based film.
Sporting a rugged, bloodied look and a thick mustache, Khan appears battle-hardened and intense, capturing the raw emotion of his character. His fierce expression and weather-worn uniform reflect the brutal conditions of the storyline. The poster features the striking line: “Over 15,000 feet above sea level India fought its most brutal battle without firing a single bullet,” hinting at the film’s rooted realism and historic inspiration.

The motion poster was released on the official Instagram handle of the film with the caption: “Blood, grit, and patriotism at 15,000 ft. Salman Khan is ready for the most powerful story of modern India. #BattleOfGalwan motion poster out now!” Khan himself shared it on his own Instagram, drawing massive attention from fans and industry insiders alike.
Battle of Galwan is inspired by the real-life 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese forces in Ladakh. The violent confrontation, which occurred despite a no-firearms agreement, saw soldiers engage in hand-to-hand combat using sticks, stones, and improvised weapons. It marked the first casualties in the decades-long border standoff between the two nations in nearly 45 years.
Chitrangada Singh stars opposite Khan as the female lead, while music maestro Himesh Reshammiya is on board as the composer. The cast also features three young male actors, who will portray key members of Khan’s on-screen unit.
While the official release date for Battle of Galwan has yet to be announced, the buzz around the project is already intense, with fans eager to see Khan in a powerful patriotic role.
In parallel, Salman Khan is also reported to reunite with Sanjay Dutt—his co-star from the beloved film Saajan—in another upcoming film titled Ganga Ram, adding further anticipation to his busy slate.
