Mangaluru: Illegal gas filling racket busted by Food Department

Mangaluru, Jul 6: Acting on a tip-off, the Food Department raided a house near Ganeshpura in Suratkal where domestic LPG cylinders were being illegally used to refill other cylinders and sold at commercial rates.

A case has been registered against Shafaqat Ali, who was allegedly running the illegal operation.

During the raid, officials seized 23 gas cylinders and equipment used for the illegal transfer.
