Mangaluru, Jun 29: Ryan Marcel Noronha, a member of the ICYM unit of St Theresa Church, Paldane, Mangaluru, has been elected as the president of the City deanery, which comprises 12 churches. On this occasion, he was felicitated by the Paldane Church after the Holy Mass.
The felicitation was conducted by the parish priest, Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, who said the honor is being bestowed on behalf of the entire parish community. He remarked that this position has brought pride to the church.
Present at the occasion were Church Pastoral Committee vice president Elias Fernandes, secretary Austin Montero, ICYM animator Roshan Montero, Unit president Vileesha Braggs, and secretary Aashel Lobo.
The city deanery of the Mangalore diocese includes the churches of Angelore, Bajal, Bajjodi, Bondel, Kulsekhar (Cordel), Derebail, Fermai, Kelarai, Neermarga, Paldane, Shakthinagar, and Vamanjoor.
