New Delhi, Jun 27: Ramsankar Mishra, senior manager (finance), MRPL has been awarded with 8th CMA achievers award for the year 2024 considering his remarkable contribution in the central / corporate accounts of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) for bringing best practices followed by other industries for bringing more clarity and disclosures in the financial statement. His remarkable and effective planning, co-ordination, process-design and execution of various accounting and disclosure requirement for preparation of financial statement for acquisition of 100% stake and subsequent amalgamation of the erstwhile subsidiary company ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals Limited also been considered and appreciated.
In addition to his contribution to organization, he has also been recognised by the Institute for his interest and voluntary contribution to the society by spreading his practical experience & knowledge in the field of advance accounting, financial management & reporting, strategic cost management, budget and budgetary control along with other regulatory compliances for the corporates among the budding professionals by visiting various educational institutions including business schools and other professional bodies in and around in the state of Karnataka and Other parts of India. His contribution amongst the practising Cost and Management Accountants (CMAs) in bringing more value addition to the cost audit has also been appreciated by the institute.

About the award
CMA Awards is a prestigious Award, instituted by Institute of cost accountants of India (ICMAI) recognizes the significant contributions of CMAs in improving corporate governance, value creation and preservation, managing risk and control, achieving operational efficiency, promoting good CSR practices, and implementing innovative cost and management accounting practices in order to propagate cost management culture to make Indian Industry cost competitive and sustainable. CMA Awards also recognise the outstanding contribution of CMAs for CMA profession, Institute and society.

The process involves three stages:
- Stage 1: Inviting nomination.
- Stage 2: Shortlisting by screening committee.
- Stage 3: Final selection by jury.
This award has been decided by a distinguished jury chaired by hon’ble justice (Retd) SJ Mukhopadhaya, former judge supreme court of India and former chairperson, National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT).
This prestigious recognition Award was presented at an impressive ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on June, 23 by the hon’ble member of parliament (Lok Sabha) & chairperson, standing committee on finance, Bhartruhari Mehtab along with president of Institute of cost accountants of India Bibhuti Bhusan Nayak.
President of India, Droupadi Murmu was the chief guest for the inaugural session.
It is a moment of pride that Ramsankar Mishra has represented Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) for receiving this prestigious award as one among very few public sector undertakings who have achieved this.
