Christ King College organizes anti-drug awareness rally in collaboration with Karkala town police

Karkala, Jun 26: On the occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Christ King Pre-University College, along with its Rovers and Rangers units and the High School Division’s Scouts and Guides units, organized an Anti-Drug Awareness Rally in collaboration with Karkala Town police station.

The rally, aimed at spreading public awareness against drug abuse, began from the Bandimath Bus Stand and proceeded towards Gandhi Maidan, with students raising slogans against drugs. Participants included students from the college’s PU division, Rovers and Rangers, and the high school Scouts and Guides.

Sub-inspector Shivakumar of Karkala Town police station addressed the students, educating them on the dangers of drug use and the precautions one must take. He also urged the students to inform the police if they come across any information regarding drug use or peddling.

Newly appointed sub-inspector Muralidhar Naik and several other staff members from Karkala Town police station were also present during the event.

The rally was led by Christ King PU College faculty members Umesh Bellippady, Deepak, Sukanya, Abhinaya, and physical education instructor Krishnaprasad, who actively guided the students throughout the event.
