Muscat, Jun 25: Muscat audience had the opportunity to watch the much-anticipated Konkani super hit movie ‘Fondache Misther’ directed by Rayan Magneto & produced by Melwyn Pernal, show was organized by Ghala Mangalorean Catholic Community (GMCC) in association with event management company Venture Entertainment. Konkani associations Mangalorean Konkani Wing /MCCP, SPPKC partnered to deliver the film at VOX Cinemas, Qurum City Centre which lit up the digital banners to showcase the film as both Rayan & Melwyn were present at the venue to acknowledge the audience during inauguration & premiere of the show.
The show premiered on Friday, June 20. Inaugural event was presented by Praveen Serra a well know Emcee & also a senior member of GMCC, executive committee. There were 2 houseful screenings at 4 pm & 4:15 pm The event drew roaring crowds and delivered non-stop entertainment. Rayan & Melwyn were conferred with an Oman Khanjar Memento, Shawl & a bouquet of flowers each by senior leaders & top personalities who represent Mangalurean community in Oman.
















Fondache Misther, brimming with high-energy humor, a captivating storyline, a mix of seasoned and new actors, classic Konkani comedic elements, this production kept audiences laughing from start to finish.
In the bustling Gulf region, where daily life often revolves around long working hours and high-pressure routines, the film provided a much-needed break and entertainment for fellow Mangalorean’s. Audiences wholeheartedly embraced the comic relief, responding to the film’s punchlines and impeccable timing with uncontrollable laughter.
“We loved the storyline, Lestu, Arvind Bolar sir, Lucybai was at their best we could not stop laughing! This is the first Konkani movie with such a level of fun and natural comedy,” said one enthusiastic moviegoer. Another viewer added, “Fondache Misther itself is an apt title and story was justified thru this movie! Gulf countries, where we are constantly working and under stress, this movie gave us a chance to just relax and enjoy with family — it was a total stressbuster!”
The response to Fondacho Misther exceeded all expectations. Initial reviews were overwhelmingly positive, with many calling it one of the funniest Konkani movies they have ever seen. Its ability to connect with the diaspora while delivering culturally rich comedy stood out as a major highlight.
This successful premiere in Muscat, Oman is a testament to the growing popularity and global reach of Konkani cinema. Fondacho Misther not only entertained but also served as a joyful reminder of the healing power of shared laughter in a theatre full of cheer.
