Mumbai, Jun 24: Former actress and Bigg Boss fame Sana Khan's mother, Mrs Saeeda, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, in Mumbai after a prolonged illness. The heartbreaking news was shared by Sana herself on social media.

"Inna Lillahi Wa inna ilaih rajioon. My beloved mother Mrs Saeeda has returned back to Allah after struggling with a bad health condition," Sana wrote in an emotional note.

The final rites were held late Tuesday night, with Namaz-e-Janaza performed at Oshiwara Qabrasthan after the Isha prayer at 9:45 pm. Sana urged everyone to keep her mother in their prayers.

Several close friends and celebrities, including Mehzabeen Coatwala, wife of comedian Munawar Faruqui, were seen visiting Sana’s residence to offer condolences and stand by her in the time of grief.

Sana, who left the entertainment industry to pursue a spiritual path, often shared her deep bond with her mother. In a touching 2023 post, she shared a video of her mother tying her shoelaces and wrote about the unmatched love and sacrifices of a mother. “There is no love more honest and selfless than a mother’s love... No matter how old you are, you will always be a chota bacha for them,” she had expressed.

Sana’s heartfelt tribute and the outpouring of love from friends and followers reflect the deep loss she is experiencing.
