Mangaluru, Jun 23: On the occasion of International Yoga Day, the NSS Unit of the BBA Department, Institute of Management and Commerce organized a Yoga Programme on June 19 in the auditorium. The event aimed at promoting awareness about the significance of yoga in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and received an overwhelming response from students and faculty alike.
The programme emcee was Ankitha from III BBA honours. The programme commenced with invocation of God’s blessings by Kannika from III H N and group, followed by a grand welcome address delivered by Fahima P from III BBA hospital administration. The atmosphere was filled with energy and enthusiasm as the event progressed.









The chief guest, Prof Lalan from the IPSLM Department, addressed the gathering and shared valuable insights on the importance and benefits of yoga in daily life. His inspirational words encouraged students to incorporate yoga as a regular practice to achieve balance between body and mind.
Though dean Dr Venkatesh Amin could not attend the event due to urgent commitments, his support for the initiative was acknowledged and appreciated during the session.
The event witnessed the gracious presence of Prof Shilpa, head of the BBA department, Prof Shwetha, course coordinator, Prof Bharathi and Prof Shivani, NSS programme officers, NSS student incharges Mohammed Salith from III BA honours, Muhammad Rizwan from II BBA hospital administration and Shrashti from II BBA honours and all the faculty members of the BBA Department.
The highlight of the programme was the active participation of students, which made the event truly impactful. Their involvement added to the vibrancy and success of the celebration.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Fathimatul Misrita from III BBA Hospital Administration, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, participants, and organizing team for their valuable contributions.
With the collective efforts of the NSS Unit, faculty, and students, the event was a grand success, embodying the true spirit of International Yoga Day.
