New York, Jun 20: In explosive testimony on Friday, Sean 'Diddy' Combs’ former personal assistant told a federal court that he regularly purchased drugs and set up luxury hotel rooms for sex parties during his time working for the hip-hop mogul.
Brendan Paul, who worked for Combs from late 2022 to March 2024, claimed under oath that the rapper requested marijuana, ketamine, and Xanax, and that he often prepped rooms for lavish encounters dubbed "wild king nights." The testimony is seen as key evidence by federal prosecutors trying to establish a racketeering conspiracy involving sex trafficking.
Paul said he once spent $4,200 on marijuana for Combs and also arranged ketamine purchases. Jurors reviewed text messages where Combs allegedly asked for "zans" (Xanax) and other drugs. He further described filling hotel rooms with liquor, baby oil, lubricant, and a Gucci pouch containing drugs before the parties.
“When it was over, I’d put on gloves and clean up so hotels wouldn’t charge for damages,” Paul stated, revealing a disturbing glimpse into the alleged pattern of abuse.
Now 55, Combs has denied all five criminal charges, maintaining the sex was consensual. His attorneys argue that Paul’s role in drug procurement was minimal and for personal use only. “You were not some drug mule?” Combs’ lawyer Brian Steel asked. “Absolutely not,” Paul replied.
Paul was arrested in March at a Florida airport with cocaine in his bag while accompanying Combs on a trip to the Bahamas. He said he forgot the drugs were in his bag after cleaning Combs’ room and was charged, but the case was later dropped.
When asked why he didn't disclose the cocaine belonged to Combs, Paul said, “Loyalty.”
With prosecutors wrapping up their case after six weeks, the trial is now set to hear from the defense next week. If convicted, the Bad Boy Records founder could face life in prison.
