Mumbai, Jun 19: Bollywood’s favourite ‘Sardaar’ is all set to return to the silver screen! Actor-producer Ajay Devgn has officially announced the release date of his much-anticipated sequel Son of Sardaar 2, slated to hit theatres on July 25, 2025.

Taking to Instagram, Devgn dropped the new poster from the film, donning a vibrant turban and an intense expression, captioned: “The Return of the Sardaar #SOS2 in cinemas near you on 25th July. #SardaarIsBack #SonOfSardaar2”. The film will see Devgn reprise his beloved role from the 2012 original, which was known for its action-packed comedy and high-octane drama.

Joining him this time is actress Mrunal Thakur, who steps into the lead female role, while Sanjay Dutt returns as the menacing yet charismatic Don. Popular actor Sanjay Mishra has also been roped in to play a revamped version of a character earlier intended for Vijay Raaz.

Helmed by Vijay Kumar Arora and jointly produced by Jio Studios, Devgn Films, and T-Series, Son of Sardaar 2 promises to serve a mix of adrenaline, laughter, and Punjabi fervour on a grand scale.

Earlier this week, Mrunal Thakur gave fans a sneak peek from the sets with a behind-the-scenes clapboard shot tagged “Scene 49, Shot 5, Take 1 — Action!” sparking further excitement.

Interestingly, the film is set for a major box office clash with Param Sundari, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, scheduled to release on the same day.

With Ajay Devgn’s powerful return and an ensemble cast, Son of Sardaar 2 is poised to recreate the magic of its predecessor and offer a masaledar cinematic ride this July.
