Guwahati, Jun 19: In a major development in the sensational Raja Raghuvanshi murder case, all five accused, including the victim’s wife and her alleged lover, will be produced before the District and Sessions Court in Shillong today, as their eight-day police custody ends.

Raja Raghuvanshi, a businessman from Indore, was brutally murdered while on a honeymoon trip to Meghalaya. The shocking twist in the case came when police revealed that his wife, Sonam, and her alleged partner Raj Kushwaha had conspired to eliminate him. The duo allegedly hired three contract killers—Anand Singh Kurmi, Akash Rajput, and Vishal Singh Chauhan—to carry out the crime. His body was discovered on June 2.

All five were first presented in court on June 11 and remanded to police custody. With fresh leads emerging, the Meghalaya Police are now likely to seek an extension to deepen the investigation.

Meanwhile, the probe has intensified in Indore, with the police focusing on Sonam's digital trail. Her missing mobile phones are yet to be recovered, and investigators are tracking her recent contacts and communication patterns to uncover more about the murder plot.

Police sources suggest that more arrests or leads may follow, as the case continues to unravel across state lines.
