Srinivas University hosts insightful webinar on ‘Precision in cardiopulmonary bypass’

Mangaluru, Jun 18: The department of perfusion technology, Srinivas Institute of Allied Health Sciences (SIAHS), Srinivas University, Mukka, Mangaluru, successfully organized an online webinar titled 'Precision in perfusion: Conduct and monitoring of cardiopulmonary bypass' on June 14.

The session was delivered by Sainath, assistant professor – senior scale and programme coordinator, Perfusion Technology Programme, Manipal College of health professions. The objective of the webinar was to enhance knowledge and understanding among perfusion students and professionals regarding the critical aspects of conducting and monitoring cardiopulmonary bypass. Sainath provided valuable insights into perfusion strategies, safety protocols, and the importance of precision during bypass procedures.

A total of 57 participants attended the session, including attendees from other reputed institutions such as AJ Institute of medical sciences, Mangaluru, and Akash Institute of medical sciences, Bengaluru, alongside students and faculty from Srinivas University.

The event was also graced by the presence of Naveen, faculty member from the department of Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), who actively participated in the session. The webinar witnessed enthusiastic participation and a lively Q&A session, reflecting the participants' keen interest in the topic. The event was conducted under the guidance of Prof Pavana Krishnamoorthy, dean of SIAHS, and coordinated by Sana Farhath, course coordinator, department of perfusion technology.
