Udupi, Jun 17: A private bus entering the city from Kundapura created panic among passengers and the public due to its dangerously reckless driving near Bannanje in Udupi.
The bus suddenly braked and spun nearly 180 degrees, leaving passengers inside terrified. Despite the close call, the driver continued to speed away as if nothing had happened.
As the bus approached the city, it was seen driving on the wrong side of the road and taking a dangerous U-turn before speeding off again.
This incident has triggered strong public anger. Citizens have expressed serious concerns over the increasing recklessness of private bus drivers in Udupi. They allege that such drivers are playing with the lives of innocent passengers in the name of speed and competition.
Locals have urged the police to take immediate and strict action against such irresponsible driving and ensure passenger safety.
