Mangaluru, Jun 17: Srinivas University’s Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT), has launched an innovative initiative – Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao Centre for Future Skills – in collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Ethnotech Academy. Aimed at equipping students with advanced technical expertise aligned with global industrial trends, the centre was inaugurated on June 17 at the university’s Valachil campus.
The event was inaugurated by the minister for medical education and skill development, Dr Sharan Prakash Rudrappa Patil. In his address, he emphasised the importance of making today’s youth proficient in foreign languages and giving prominence to extracurricular training. He stated that only through vocational and skill-based education can significant transformation be brought in the future. Officially announcing the commencement of the centre, he spoke about the priority that must be given to making students industry-ready.



















Presiding over the event, Srinivas University chancellor, Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, offered valuable guidance to the youth, stressing the need to achieve self-reliance in the industrial sector of society.
Addressing the students, Srinivas University pro-chancellor Dr A Srinivas Rao said that professional education and skill-based learning are crucial for life, and that this can be achieved through the proper application of technology.
Dr Kiran K Rajanna, head of Ethnotech Academy, explained the importance of seizing industrial opportunities for the students.
The event also saw the presence of Prof Dr Iftikhar Fareed, senate member of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences; MLC Manjunath Bhandari, and executive president of the Congress committee; Vijayalakshmi R Rao and Prof Mitra S Rao, trustees of Srinivas Group; and Varun Bhatra, general manager of NSDC, Dr Satyanarayana Reddy, vice chancellor, Srinivas University, Dr Ajay Kumar, development registrar, Srinivas University were present.
Dr Srinivas Maiya D, principal of SIT and registrar of evaluation at Srinivas University, welcomed the gathering. Registrar Dr Anil Kumar proposed the vote of thanks.
