St Maria Goretti English Medium School Hirgan hosts first PTA meet of 2025-26

Karkala, Jun 16: The first general parent-teacher meeting of the Academic year 2025-26 was held at St Maria Goretti English Medium School, Hirgan on June 14 with the objective of strengthening the collaboration between parents and teachers for the betterment of students' academic performance and overall development.

The meeting commenced with the inauguration of the club activities for the new academic year.

An insightful session was held by the resource person of the day, Dr Melwin Rajesh Castelino, assistant professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, NMAMIT, Nitte.

The headmistress, Eslin Laveena D’Souza provided an overview of the school's recent achievements, upcoming events, and initiatives being taken to enhance the learning environment.

The correspondent, Fr John Walter Mendonca elaborated and appreciated the academic progress done during 2024-25 and wished well for the new academic year.

The new teachers were introduced. The new PTA committee was formed, with Santhosh Shetty being appointed as the president and Chaithra was appointed as the secretary of PTA committee 2025-26.

Pavithra, assistant teacher welcomed the gathering. Nishmitha elaborated about the club activities by introducing the club teachers. The meeting minutes of the previous PTA meeting were done by Poornima. Surekha delivered the vote of thanks.

The correspondent, headmistress, club teachers, PTA president and secretary were on the stage.
