Bantwal: Heavy rains cause roof collapse in Parlia, family relocated

Bantwal, Jun 12: Following moderate to heavy rainfall in various parts of Bantwal taluk on Wednesday, a house in the Parlia area of BC Road suffered significant damage after its roof collapsed.

The house belongs to local resident Abdul Kausar.

According to reports, the continuous rainfall led to the collapse of the roof and supporting wooden frames, causing considerable damage to the structure. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The affected family has been temporarily shifted to the residence of relatives, officials from the revenue department confirmed. A spot inspection has been conducted, and further assessment of the damage is underway.
