Kadaba, Jun 10: Tension prevailed in the Adi Subrahmanya area after a young man was allegedly assaulted in broad daylight over a room rental issue, sparking outrage among locals. A video of the attack, which has gone viral on social media, has intensified calls for action.
According to sources, the incident occurred when the youth reportedly inspected a rented room but left without completing the check-out process. This led to a heated argument with the room management staff, following which a member of the team physically assaulted the young man.
The video footage, which captured the assault, has stirred public anger. Local residents have raised concerns that certain individuals from outside the region have been leasing rooms illegally and operating without proper regulation, targeting visiting pilgrims.
