Mysuru, Jun 7: The fourth day of the Novena devotion, in spiritual preparation for the annual feast of St Anthony, was observed with heartfelt faith and devotion on June 7, at St Anthony’s Basilica in Dornahalli, Mysuru.

The solemn Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Fr Martin M, parish priest of St Sebastian’s Church, Kushalnagar. He was joined by Fr David Sagayaraj, rector of the Basilica, and Fr Praveen Pedru, administrator of the Basilica, whose presence added grace and spiritual depth to the occasion.

The theme for the day, 'Hope is the beginning of new life', emphasised the power of faith and resilience during times of difficulty and uncertainty. Through inspiring reflections and heartfelt prayers, the faithful were reminded of how hope can ignite new beginnings and sustain the human spirit.

Following the holy Mass, the Novena prayers were offered with great devotion, as the gathered devotees sought the powerful intercession of St Anthony for their personal intentions and the needs of their loved ones.

The day’s devotion concluded with a reverent procession of the holy statue of St Anthony through the Basilica premises, followed by the Benediction of the blessed Sacrament. The prayerful celebration left the faithful spiritually renewed, united in hope, and strengthened in their journey of faith.
