Bannon calls Musk an ‘Illegal Alien’, urges Trump to seize SpaceX amid fallout

Washington, Jun 6: In a dramatic escalation of tensions between tech mogul Elon Musk and US President Donald Trump, ex-White House strategist Steve Bannon has publicly called for Musk's deportation and the immediate seizure of his aerospace firm, SpaceX.

Bannon labelled the Tesla and SpaceX CEO as ‘an illegal alien’ and claimed the US government should launch a formal probe into Musk’s immigration status. “He should be deported from the country immediately,” Bannon said.

The stunning remarks came hours after Musk threatened to shut down the Dragon spacecraft missions to the International Space Station, a program operated by SpaceX. Bannon termed the move a ‘national security threat’ and urged Trump to act under the Defense Production Act a wartime law allowing the President to compel private firms to serve government interests to take control of SpaceX before midnight.

“President Trump tonight should sign an executive order calling for the Defense Production Act to be called in on SpaceX and seize SpaceX tonight,” Bannon said on his podcast War Room.

The former Breitbart News executive didn’t stop there. He also demanded a probe into Musk’s alleged drug use and accused him of seeking sensitive Pentagon data on China. Bannon further urged the suspension of Musk’s security clearance and the cancellation of all US government contracts with his companies.

The feud follows a very public falling out between Musk and Trump. Musk criticized Trump’s proposed ‘One Big Beautiful Bill,’ while Trump, in response, claimed their earlier relationship had soured. Musk retaliated by accusing the Trump administration of withholding records linked to Jeffrey Epstein, suggesting Trump’s name appeared in those files.

As the political storm brews, the tech billionaire has yet to issue a detailed response to Bannon’s explosive allegations.
