Mumbai, Jun 5: Bollywood’s beloved “Bhidu,” Jackie Shroff, turned heads on World Environment Day with his signature charm and his unwavering commitment to environmental causes.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Shroff shared a powerful message on eco-conservation. His first video highlighted his social initiative, “Ped Lagao Bhidu,” featuring a poignant message: “Protecting our environment for us, and for future generations is a top priority. Recycle, reduce, reuse. Let’s conserve our resources and live sustainably.”
In a second video from a recent plantation drive, Shroff teased an upcoming project without making an appearance himself, leaving fans curious about what’s next.

The actor, who was recently seen in the film Baby John, also marked Earth Day last month with an inspiring post on X (formerly Twitter). The video montage showcased lush green landscapes, coupled with an urgent call to action: “Let’s stop deforestation and start restoration. Let us become the winds of change. Let us waste less and become better. We are the key to a pollution-free world. We owe it to our children and future generations. Let’s make it Mother Earth Day every day.”
Earth Day, celebrated globally since 1970, now unites over a billion people across 193 countries in environmental action.
Apart from his environmental efforts, Shroff also commemorated the 36th anniversary of his iconic film Ram Lakhan earlier this year.
Reflecting on the milestone, he said, “It’s incredible that Ram Lakhan has clocked 36 years of its release, and it’s nothing short of spectacular. It has been an incredible experience to work alongside Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Dimple Kapadia, and the rest of the star cast under Subhash Ghai’s direction.”
In Ram Lakhan, Shroff’s portrayal of the righteous police inspector Ram remains a fan favourite, adding yet another memorable character to his celebrated career.
