Mangaluru, Jun 3: Schools across the state reopened on June 3, and one government school stood out by welcoming its students in a grand manner that rivaled private institutions.
The Prarambhotsava (School Reopening Day) celebration at the Tiruvail Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat Model English Medium Higher Primary School was marked by a vibrant welcome organized by teachers, alumni, and parents on June 2.

At a time when many government schools face the threat of closure, this initiative served as a powerful reminder of what community involvement can achieve. Private organizations and the government are working together on several development projects to revive and support these institutions.
The students were warmly welcomed by the school's alumni and the Vidyabodhini Education Trust. The entire campus was adorned with colorful balloons and decorations, and a live band added to the festive atmosphere.
Known for consistently delivering quality education, the school continues to demonstrate that government schools can match, if not exceed, the standards of private ones.
