Karnataka records 87 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours, total active infections rise to 529

Bengaluru, June 2: Covid-19 cases are once again on the rise in Karnataka, with 87 individuals testing positive for the virus in the past 24 hours. With this, the total number of Covid-19 cases in the state has climbed to 529, according to the department of Health and Family Welfare.

However, no Covid-related fatalities were reported today, as per the official bulletin issued by the department.

A total of 504 individuals underwent Covid testing today, and among them, 87 cases have returned positive. The state now has 311 active cases, of which 297 patients are under home isolation while 14 are receiving treatment in hospitals, the department confirmed.

The health and family welfare department has assured that it is closely monitoring the Covid-19 situation in the state and implementing necessary control measures. Although there is currently no cause for alarm, the Health Minister has appealed to the public to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions.
