Mumbai, May 27: The much-anticipated trailer for ‘Housefull 5’ dropped on Tuesday, giving fans a peek into what promises to be the wildest installment of the franchise yet — a blend of slapstick comedy, chaotic drama, and a murder mystery set aboard a luxury cruise ship.
The trailer opens with a sweeping shot of a majestic cruise sailing across endless ocean waters. The voice of Nana Patekar, playing the character Ranjit, announces a jaw-dropping inheritance of £69 billion, naming it in favor of "Jolly." Chaos quickly ensues as three Jollys step forward to claim the fortune, leading to laugh-out-loud confusion and comic rivalries.
Just as the hilarity builds, the plot takes a sharp turn when Ranjit is mysteriously murdered, turning the comedy into a whodunit thriller with a comedic edge. The movie then spirals into a frantic quest to uncover the killer — or killers — with laugh-packed twists along the way.

Boasting a cast of 19 stars, the film features a powerhouse ensemble including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chitrangada Singh, Fardeen Khan, Chunky Pandey, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Ranjeet, Soundarya Sharma, Nikitin Dheer, and Akashdeep Sabir.
In true ‘Housefull’ fashion, the trailer is sprinkled with pop culture references and Bollywood tributes. Notably, Jackie Shroff delivers the now-iconic line, “Chhoti bacchi ho kya?”—a playful nod to his son Tiger Shroff’s famous dialogue from Heropanti.
Shot aboard a lavish cruise ship that travels from London to France to Spain, and back to the UK, the film oozes grandeur and promises high-octane entertainment both on deck and on screen.
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala revealed a game-changing twist for audiences: the film will have multiple endings, with different killers revealed in different shows. “I’ve been thinking about this idea for 30 years. After ‘Housefull 4’, I finally cracked the thriller concept and wrote the story and screenplay myself,” he said. “Imagine watching a 3 PM show and seeing one ending, and then discovering a completely different killer in the 6 PM show — that’s the uniqueness of ‘Housefull 5’. It’s a true killer comedy.”
Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Housefull 5 is set to hit theatres globally on June 6, 2025.
