‘Bullet ready if Pakistan chooses terrorism over peace,’ Warns PM Modi in Bhuj

Bhuj, May 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday delivered a sharp message to Pakistan, stating that its people must reject terrorism and embrace peace or face the consequences. Speaking at a public rally in Gujarat’s Bhuj, PM Modi said, “Pakistan ko atanki bimari se mukt karne ke liye, Pakistan ki awaam ko aage aana hoga. Sukh chain ki zindagi jiyo, roti khao, warna meri goli to hai hi,” loosely translated as, "Live peacefully or my bullet is ready.”

Addressing the gathering on the occasion of completing 11 years in office, Modi contrasted India’s economic rise with Pakistan’s deteriorating global standing. “India has overtaken Japan to become the world’s fourth-largest economy. While India believes in tourism, Pakistan treats terrorism as tourism. I ask the people of Pakistan what have you gained? Those who glorified terror have destroyed your future,” he said.

The Prime Minister inaugurated development projects worth over Rs 50,000 cr in Gujarat and took the opportunity to reiterate India’s firm stance on cross-border terrorism. Referring to the recent Pahalgam terror attack, he said, “I waited for 15 days, hoping Pakistan would act against terrorism. But it appears that terror is their bread and butter.”

He also referred to India’s strong military response. “On the night of May 9, when Pakistan tried targeting our civilians, our military hit back with double the force and destroyed their air bases,” Modi declared.

Modi further mentioned Operation Sindoor, calling it a mission to “save humanity and eliminate terrorism.” The operation gained attention recently with the participation of Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, one of the two women officers who briefed on India’s counter-terror actions. Her family took part in the Prime Minister’s roadshow in Vadodara.

The Bhuj rally comes amid heightened political and security discourse ahead of the polls, with Modi reiterating India’s commitment to economic growth and national security.
