Mangaluru: Catholic Sabha Kuloor marks silver jubilee with noble housing initiative for needy family

Mangaluru, May 24: The Catholic Sabha Kuloor unit has undertaken several community-oriented initiatives as part of its Silver Jubilee celebrations.

In a generous gesture, the unit has constructed a house for an economically disadvantaged family on their own land at Bangra Kuloor, at an estimated cost of Rs 15 lac. The housewarming, blessing, and handover ceremony will take place on May 25 at 11 am in Bangra Kuloor.

The blessing and inauguration of the new home will be led by Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, bishop emeritus of the diocese of Mangalore. The programme will be presided over by Fr Victor Vijay Lobo, spiritual director of the Kuloor Unit and parish priest of St Antony Church, Kuloor.

Other dignitaries expected to grace the occasion include Fr John Vas, episcopal city deanery spiritual director; Walter Nandalike, founder of Daijiworld Media; and Anil Lobo, chairman of MCC Bank, among others, according to a press release by Rovin D’Souza, president of the Catholic Sabha Kuloor Unit.
