Yenepoya Nursing College hosts state-level workshop on attitude development for Gen Z students

Mangaluru, May 24: The department of nursing education and 1st year post graduates, Yenepoya Nursing College, organised a state-level workshop on 'Hacking the heart: A workshop on attitude development among Gen Z students' at EMD Auditorium, 8th floor, Yenepoya Medical College Hospital, Deralakatte, Mangaluru.

Dr Anice George, professor & head, research & collaborations, Manipal College of Nursing, Manipal was the chief guest. She said that it is essential to reprogram the attitude of students to make them more empathetic and compassionate healthcare providers. She also emphasised that present teachers need to be prepared to handle tech - savvy Gen Z Students.

The guest of honour, Dr Aswini Dutt R, dean academics, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), addressed the gathering on the importance of developing the right attitude among students of the health care profession.

Dr Leena KC, principal, Yenepoya Nursing College, presided over the function. Dr Priya Reshma Aranha, organising chairperson, welcomed the gathering. Sharin Netal D’Souza, organising secretary, proposed the vote of thanks.

A total of 100 delegates from various districts attended the workshop.
