Mandsaur, May 24: A controversial video allegedly showing a couple engaged in a sexual act inside a car on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway has gone viral, sparking public outrage. The man in the video has been identified as Manoharlal Dhakad from Madhya Pradesh’s Mandsaur district.

Following the incident, Dhakad was sacked from his post as national secretary of the Dhakad Mahasabha, which is registered in Ujjain. The video, reportedly filmed on May 13, shows a white car registered in Dhakad’s name, according to transport department records.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has denied any association with Dhakad. “Dhakad is from Bani village, but he is not a primary member of the BJP,” said Mandsaur district BJP president Rajesh Dixit. However, Dhakad’s wife, Sohan Bai, is a BJP-backed district panchayat member representing Ward No. 8 in Mandsaur.

Madhya Pradesh police registered a case against Dhakad and the woman seen in the video under sections related to public obscenity and obstruction. “The incident occurred on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near Bhanpura, which is a public place,” said DIG Manoj Kumar Singh. “We have booked the accused under sections 296, 285 and 3(5) of the BNS. A search is underway.”

Since the video went viral, Dhakad has been unreachable as his phone remains switched off, according to local reports.
