New Delhi, May 21: A multi-party delegation led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Jha embarked on a crucial diplomatic mission to Japan on Wednesday, aiming to highlight India's concerns over cross-border terrorism sponsored by Pakistan and recent developments around Operation Sindoor.

The delegation includes a wide political spectrum: BJP MPs Aparajita Sarangi, Brijlal, Pradhan Barua and Hemang Joshi; Congress leader and former external affairs minister Salman Khurshid; TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee; CPI(M)'s John Brittas; and former ambassador Mohan Kumar.

In addition to Japan, the team will visit South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore as part of India’s growing diplomatic outreach. The visit gains significance in the wake of a ceasefire understanding reached between India and Pakistan on May 10, following four days of heightened military tensions triggered by the Pahalgam terror attack.

Speaking to ANI, Sanjay Jha underlined the delegation's core objective: “The biggest issue is that this terrorism is Pakistan's state policy. Our job is to reveal the face of Pakistan to the world. Terrorism in Pakistan thrives with full state support.”

Echoing the sentiment, CPI(M) MP John Brittas emphasized global unity against terror. “This is a public diplomatic outreach to convey India’s message that the world must unite against terrorism. It’s high time countries rally behind India’s concerns,” said the Rajya Sabha MP before departing for Japan.
