Mangaluru, May 20: The Kannada film Light House, directed by Sandeep Kamath Ajekar, released in theatres across Karnataka on Thursday, May 16.
The film, which generated buzz with its teaser unveiled by actor Vijay Raghavendra earlier, features a diverse ensemble cast including Shobharaj Pavoor, Manasi Sudhir, Prakash Tuminadu, Pruthvi Ambar, Deepak Rai Panaje, Rahul Amin, Sheethal Nayak, Chandrakala Rao, Shailashree Mulki, Achal G Bangera, Apoorva Mala, Thimmappa Kulal, and Namitha Kiran.
Sandeep Kamath Ajekar has not only directed the film but also written its story, screenplay, and dialogues.
Light House is jointly presented by Amche Creations and Astra Productions and is produced by Dattatreya Patkar Bantakallu.
A song from the film, Udupi Namma Ooru, which was released earlier on YouTube, is already popular among listeners. It is sung by Prithvi Bhat, with music by Giridhar Divan and lyrics by Kling Johnson.
The film had its premieres in Mangaluru and Manipal on April 6 and April 13 respectively, and is now available in theatres for the general public.
