Samsung to unveil Galaxy S25 edge on May 13: Slim design, AI features and 200MP camera expected

Bengaluru, May 12: Samsung is all set to launch its much-awaited Galaxy S25 Edge smartphone on May 13, with the global unveiling scheduled via a live-stream event at 5:30 am IST. The event can be viewed on Samsung’s official YouTube channel and Newsroom website.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to stand out with a super-slim 5.8mm design, making it one of the thinnest smartphones in the market. It will debut with the Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 for enhanced scratch and drop resistance, a reinforced rear glass panel, and a premium metallic frame.

Aimed at merging performance and portability, the device will integrate Galaxy AI features, with Samsung calling it “a powerful AI companion and an engineering marvel.”

Camera lovers can look forward to a 200MP primary shooter, similar to the S25 Ultra, along with a 12MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Under the hood, the phone is expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with 12GB RAM, and offered in 256GB and 512GB variants.

Other features may include a 3,900mAh battery, IP68 certification for dust and water resistance, and colour options in Jet Black, Silver, and Ice Blue.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to be priced between ?99,999 and ?1,29,999 in India, with the official price set to be revealed tomorrow.
