India foils drone strikes over Amritsar, vows to crush Pak designs

Daijiworld Media Network – New Delhi

New Delhi, May 10: The Indian Army on Saturday accused Pakistan of continuing its ‘blatant escalation’ along the western border through drone strikes and other munitions, asserting that the enemy’s hostile intentions would be decisively countered.

The army confirmed that multiple enemy drones were detected hovering over the sacred city of Amritsar in Punjab. “These armed drones were instantly engaged and destroyed by Indian air defence units,” the army posted on X, calling it a firm and immediate response to Pakistan's aggression.

The development comes amid heightened tensions, with Pakistani officials earlier claiming that their military had launched strikes on Indian targets and hit several bases.

India, however, remains firm in its stance. “Pakistan’s continued provocation and enemy designs will be thwarted,” the Indian Army stated.

Security remains on high alert along the Punjab border, as Indian forces remain vigilant to neutralise any further aerial threats.
