London, May 7: Acclaimed actors Soni Razdan, Anshuman Jha, and Raghubir Yadav will present their much-anticipated film Hari Ka Om at its European premiere during the UK Asian Film Festival 2025. The screening is scheduled for May 7 at the historic Regent Street Cinema in London, a venue known for celebrating diverse voices in world cinema.
The film, directed by Harish Vyas—celebrated for his heartfelt stories such as Angrezi Mein Kehte Hain and Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele—has already made its rounds at film festivals in Australia, North America, Canada, and India. Joining the ensemble cast is Ayesha Kapur, best remembered for her role in Black.

Speaking ahead of the London premiere, actor and producer Anshuman Jha described Hari Ka Om as “the father-son film we need today.” He elaborated, “Set in small-town India, it touches upon universal family themes. It shows how lack of emotional regulation can lead to mistakes—both by the young and the old. It’s a story many households will relate to.”
Jha, who previously portrayed a gay man in Vyas's Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele and an animal-rights vigilante in the action drama Lakadbaggha, will now appear as a middle-class youth from Bhopal in this emotionally layered tale.
Director Harish Vyas had high praise for Jha, calling him a “simple yet sharp film brain” and a “fabulous actor of his generation.” He added, “The chemistry between Raghubir Yadav and Anshuman is a delight on screen. We are proud to showcase this film at such a prestigious platform in the UK.”
Meanwhile, Anshuman Jha is also gearing up for the release of his directorial debut, Lord Curzon Ki Haveli, a black comedy thriller produced by Golden Ratio Films and First Ray Films. The film features Rasika Dugal, Zoha Rahman, Paresh Pahuja, and Tanmay Dhanania, and is expected to release later this year.
The screening of Hari Ka Om at the UK Asian Film Festival marks another proud moment for Indian independent cinema on the global stage.
