Mumbai, May 4: Choreographer and filmmaker Farah Khan recently reunited with acclaimed Chinese directors Peter Chan and Stanley Tong, rekindling memories from her international collaborations. Farah shared a candid picture on her Instagram Stories, expressing her joy at the reunion hosted by filmmaker Kabir Khan and his wife Mini Mathur.
Captioning the moment, she wrote: “Reunion with my 2 Chinese directors @peterchan (Perhaps Love) & @stanleytong (Kung Fu Yoga). Thank you @minimathur @kabirkhankk for making this happen.”
Farah had previously choreographed sequences for Peter Chan’s romantic musical Perhaps Love, which was Hong Kong’s official entry to the 78th Academy Awards, and for Stanley Tong’s Kung Fu Yoga, where she worked on a song featuring Jackie Chan.
Reflecting on her career, Farah recently spoke about the generational shift in Bollywood, recalling how she’s now working with the children of stars she once collaborated with. She mentioned choreographing Junaid Khan (son of Aamir Khan) and Khushi Kapoor (daughter of Sridevi), calling it a “surreal experience.”
“I worked with Aamir in Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar before Junaid was even born. And I was very close to Sridevi and her family. It’s wonderful but strange to now be working with their kids,” she said.
Farah, who celebrated her birthday earlier this month, received warm wishes from close friends Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa. The couple posted cherished moments with her, writing: “Happiest Birthday to our dearest @farahkhankunder ma’am. Wishing you only the best in life. We love you to the moon and back.”
