Kundapur: Infant dies following medical complications; case registered

Kundapur, Jan 13: In a tragic incident, a two-and-a-half-month-old infant, Duvit, passed away following medical complications in Nalturu Guddeyangadi, Yadadi village, under Kundapur taluk. The child was the son of Gururaj (33), a resident of Yadadi Matyadi village.

According to the complaint, the infant had been administered an injection on January 10, 2025. Later that evening, the child developed a fever, which initially subsided slightly with medication. However, on the morning of January 13, 2025, the parents noticed a significant change in the child's activity levels and rushed him to a private Hospital in Manipal.

Tragically, the child stopped breathing between 8:30 and 9 am. while being taken to the hospital. Upon arrival, the hospital's doctors examined the infant and declared him dead.

A case has been registered in this regard at the Kota police station.
