Mangaluru, Apr 24: The graduation day of Srinivas Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Center was held at Hotel Srinivas on April 20.

Speaking on the occasion, chief guest of the programme, pro chancellor of Srinivas University, vice president of A Shama Rao Foundation Mangaluru, Dr A Srinivas Rao stated, "Students, your responsibilities have increased now that you are doctors. Reaching higher levels in life may not be difficult for you, as you have a strong foundation. Never ignore any patient or your work in life. The treatment you provide is a part of your ongoing learning and practice. Remain humble and treat each patient with a smile."

Chancellor of Srinivas University and president of A Shama Rao Foundation Mangaluru, Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao in his presidential address emphasized, "Be humble in life because you are in a noble profession. Doctors are capable of helping any patient. As a doctor, one should think of service, not money. Then only in the future will your service bring success in life, and the entire society will recognize you."

Guest of honour, Srinivas University board of governors trustee member A Vijayalakshmi R Rao said, "Learn more, become a good doctor and serve the society." She congratulated all the students as well parents.

Srinivas University board of governors trustee member, Prof Er S A Mitra S Rao administered the oath and advised students to take their profession to higher level with genuine practice and service.

Srinivas University registrar of development Dr Ajay Kumar, SIMS and R C medical superintendent Dr David Rosario, SIMS and R C dean, Dr Uday Kumar Rao, Dr Anitha Sequeira and Freeda D’Souza were present.

During the graduation day 131 MBBS students received their certificates.

Dr Vishnu Keerthi welcomed the gathering, Dr Sathish Kumar delivered vote of thanks. Dr Thanishk Patil compered the event.
