Mangaluru: Eid celebrations held at Expert PU College

Mangaluru, Apr 13: U T Khader, honorable speaker, Karnataka Legislative Assembly celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr with students of Expert PU College, Valachil. Addressing the gathering, he lauded the college management for giving due importance to the celebrations of all religions alike. He said that India is a land of diverse cultures where people belonging to various faiths live in harmony.

He advised the students to develop self-control in all situations in life, which is one of the crucial aspects of life-skills. He added that without emotional intelligence, academic achievements will be having less utility in future.

Professor Narendra L Nayak, chairman, Expert Group of Institutions presided over the function. He also extended the greetings of Eid to the students and faculty and hoped that such festivals strengthen the social harmony and brotherhood.

Ankush N Nayak director, information technology, Ustad Rafique Khan, the trustee Expert Group of Institutions delivered their Eid messages on the occasion.

Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, principal of the college, Raghavendra Shenoy, vice principal (Administration), Subrahmanya Udupa, vice principal (Academics), Gurudatta N and members of the staff also took part in the festivities and conveyed their greetings to the students.

Pavani Verma and Gokul welcomed the gathering, compered the programme and proposed a vote of thanks.

A festive meal was served to all at the end of the programme.
