Mangaluru, Feb 8: Srinivas University 6th annual convocation will be organized on February 10 at 9.30 am at Srinivas University Campus, Mukka, and Surathkal. Dr K Yogisha, senior general manager – medical services, MCF, Mangaluru will be the day’s chief guest. During the convocation, 1257 students (PG - 358, UG – 881) will receive their certificates. The university has announced 144 ranks for the various programmes and a total of 38 graduates will receive the chancellor’s gold medal during the Convocation. In this convocation one DSc and 17 PhD will be awarded.
The Graduation Day of Srinivas Group of Institutions is scheduled to be organized on February 11 Sunday at 9.30 am, at Srinivas University Campus, Mukka, Surathkal. Dr Suhas Gopinath, founder, CEO Globals Inc, Co- founder, HappyEMI, YGL, World Economic Forum, Venture Fellow, NYCEDC, co- chair, FICCI, Advisor, government of India will be the day’s chief guest. A total of 1510 graduands will be presented certificates on this day.
The Founders’ Day & College Day of Srinivas University & Srinivas Group of Institutions will be organized at 9.30 am on February 14 at Srinivas University Campus, Mukka, Surathkal. Asheesh Pandey, executive director, Bank of Maharashtra will deliver the Founders’ Day address. Dr U T Iftikhar Ali, syndicate member of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bengaluru will be the chief guest.
Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, chancellor of Srinivas University and president of A Shama Rao Foundation, Mangaluru will be presiding over the programme.

On the occasion of Founders’ Day, Srinivas University and Srinivas Group of Colleges felicitate the achievers with Awards from the different field. A Shama Rao Foundation recognizes the contribution of teachers at high school and PU college level in the undivided Dakshina Kannada district. This year, the foundation has selected Dr Prasanna Kumar Aithal (lecturer in Sanskrit, SDM PU College, Ujire) and Ravi Alevooraya Varkady are selected for A Shama Rao Memorial Outstanding Teacher Award – 2024 for their contribution in the field of education in the undivided Dakshina Kannada district.
Sathish Shetty Patla (Yakshagana Bhaghavatha Dakshina Kannada) is selected for A Shama Rao Memorial Outstanding Achievement Award 2024 for his contribution in the field of Yakshagana.
Valerian Saldanha is selected for A Shama Rao Memorial Outstanding Achievement Award 2024 for his contribution in the field of Jothishya Shastra.
Sulochana V Bhat (Noopura dance school teacher) is selected for A Shama Rao Memorial Outstanding Achievement Award 2024 for her contribution in the field of Fine Arts (Nrithya).

Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao started the first educational institution (i.e. Srinivas College of Hotel Management) in the year 1988. The group started with just 7 students. Today, more than 12,000 students are pursuing their higher education at Srinivas University and Srinivas Group of Institutions. Around 5,000 faculty and staff are serving the student community at Srinivas University. The group has established many milestones in the quality education in the field of healthcare, medical, dental, para-medical, allied health sciences, hotel management, engineering & technology, physiotherapy, nursing, aviation studies, social sciences & humanities, management & commerce, education, journalism, Sanskrit, and yoga.
