Mangaluru: Milagres college holds annual NSS camp

Mangaluru, Feb 6: Milagres college inauguarated the NSS annual Camp on February 6. Fr Valerian S D'Souza, parish priest, Infant Jesus Church Modankap, Fr Micheal L Santhumayor, principal and campus director, Milagres college, presided over the programme.

Sunil Vegais, vice president PPC, Infant Jesus Church Mondankap. Dr Shanon Joshua Mascarenhas, chief dental surgeon at Puttur Dental Care, Shravya N and Denzil NSS officers. Sushmita, NSS secretary was present on the dais. The programme began with a prayer song by the volunteers.

The inaugural ceremony began by planting a sampling. Fr Valerian, in his message, motivated the students to take part in all the activities.

Dr Shanon called upon the volunteers to apply the knowledge and experience gained through the camp, throughout their life.

Later, all the NSS volunteers along with NSS coordinators and staff assembled at the camp site, Infant Jesus Church, Mondankap. NSS volunteers were assigned duties to teach the primary students regarding various educational topics. The NSS camp will be held till February 12. Each day different activities will be assigned to the volunteers. Jaison D'Souza, volunteer, hosted and sushmitha compered the programme.
