Kundapur, Jun 1: Leopard attacks at Kundapur have continued. The villagers are devastated as leopard attacks have increased even after some were trapped.

A leopard attacked and devoured a cow tied outside near Bolukatte, Saukoor, Gulvadi village on Wednesday May 31 night. The cow belonged to local resident Chandra Shetty.

A leopard was spotted in the vicinity a year ago. The forest department which was requested to take action, had trapped the leopard.

But a leopard has attacked again after a year causing anxiety among the farmers. Gram panchayat member Surendra Shetty Gulwadi has urged the forest department to catch the Leopard and pay compensation to the victim’s family.
