Bantwal, May 29: Karnataka Vidhana Sabha speaker and Mangaluru MLA U T Khader called on veteran Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary at the latter's residence in Bastipadpu, Bantwal on Monday, May 29 and took his blessings.

Poojary said that there is nobody equivalent to Khader in Karnataka. He praised U T Khader for his rise in politics.

Addressing journalists, U T Khader said that he will preserve the prestige of his position. "I will sincerely work for the chief minister, deputy chief minister, senior MLAs and the opposition parties. I will adhere to the suggestions from Janardhana Poojary and other senior leaders, follow the examples of veterans like Vaikunta Baliga and K S Hegde and also preserve the reputation of the district and the voters,” he said.

Party leaders Ishwar Ullal, Mohammed Monu, Sadashiva Ullal, Deepak Pilar, Hashir Perimar, Dinesh Poojary, Purushotham Shetty and others were present.
