Kundapur, Nov 26: “Solutions to all the issues can be found by participating in sports and cultural programmes,” said Dr Ashwath Narayana, Karnataka minister of higher education, skill development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood, IT, BT, science and technology.

He was speaking after inaugurating sports meet and cultural competitions held by Kotathattu gram panchayat and Dr Shivarama Karanth Prathistana at Kota Vivek High school premises as part of Dr Shivarama Karanth birth anniversary.

V Sunil Kumar, minister of energy, Kannada and culture received the honor of march past. Dr M N Rajendra Kumar, president of Marata Maha Mandali received the sports light.

Deputy commissioner Kurma Rao administered the oath as part of constitution day.

Kotathattu gram panchayhat president Ashwini Dinesh presided over the programme.

Kota Srinivas Poojary, minister of social welfare and backward classes presented awards to the best gram panchayats.

Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat, Byndoor MLA B M Sukumar Shetty, district panchayat chief executive officer Prasanna and others were present.

Dr Shivarama Karanth Prathistana Kota honorary president Anand C Kunder welcomed. PDO Jayaram Shetty rendered a vote of thanks. Narendra Kumar Kota compered the programme.
