Sr Alfreeda B S (90), sister of Denis Noronha, Christine Cornelio and Elizabeth D'Souza passed away on Friday February 3.

Sr Alfreeda hailed from Shankerpura-Pangala near Udupi. After completing her high school studies she had joined Bethany Congregation. She was a dedicated teacher for 39 years and then for next 20 years she was involved in social work and Legion of Mary. She was also the headmistress of St Joseph's School at Kankanady for some years.

Funeral rites will be held in St Sebastian Church, Bendore at 3.30 pm on Saturday February 4.
